Rip-off Thread

Hey guys,

So since Dice posted about him getting somewhat of a rip off on his Windows key and I have had a similar experience, I thought it would be somewhat of a laugh to make a thread about just that... rip-off purchases in any way.

This is just meant to be a bit of fun, over the entire exepriences people have experienced when a shop, company or person has ripped you off your money.

Not entirely sure if this thread will even go on... but anywho :p

I'll start off with a small story of my latest rip-off...

I purchased an digital wall clock on eBay, the seller was pretty smart to put a 40% glass and 60% aliminium clock inside a 1cm thick wooden box, with 2cm hard foam.
Not the best packaging ever, safe to say...to then, send it from Australia to Sweden.

Even at the post office I heard something was wrong and when I got home and oppened it... tah dah!, completely wrecked. I haven't even tested it, due to safety precautions of the entire thing.

Contacted the seller which completely ignored me for a few months, enough for the 3 months eBay warranty thingy to pass... so when I contacted eBay about it, all they said, (and it was 4 different customer service representatives) were that the time has passed and all I could do were to contact the seller... which never replied.

So got ripped off my money... nice those things :)

When I bought an LGA 775 Pentium 4, arrived in a little box with foam, broke a few months later. Also my cable ties never showed up. This was like erm 9, 10 years ago? Yeah YOYOTech I'm looking at you. You garbage site.

I didn't get rip off in this one but my brother some time ago, he bought a 650ti boost for 230€ in a shop, later he saw the exact same card online for half the price. He wasn't able to get his money back because there was nothing wrong with its card.. xD

Hahahaha booom on that one! ... that was such a hardcore rip-off man!, nice one!

I know my dad would have been annoyed if that happened to him, actually he got a thing that cost about £35, then a day later, it was on a sale. So he returned it to the same shop, went back in and purchased the same thing, but for the lower price lmao.

I paid £250 for my Inwin 901 because YOYOTECH had an 'exclusive deal' that meant they were the only sellers for it. 3 months later it was on OCUK for £120..

Lol, so 2 people have had a bad experience with YOYOTECH, haha... think they won't be very happy with this thread

Guys guys! Didn't we have a thread about this, and the mods decided to shut it down becaue "name and shame" is bad?

I got married, wasn't what i thought it was going to be!!!

Only kidding love as i know you sometimes read the threads over my shoulder
