Retail i9-12900K processor shown with an all P-Core Overclock of 5.2 GHz

330 Watts for just the cpu... we gonna be needing 800 or 1000 watts power supplies again paired with anything higher then a 3070.

Crazy world where for the longest time everyone was trying to limit the power draw and make things efficient, and here we are right back to the start again.

It's a crazy amount of power for a CPU imho thats as much as my 6800XT uses under full load when overclocked, personally i prefer 65watt chips that when oc'd maybe eat double.

I do feel however that the reason they wanted to save power wasn't to use less but gain more performance for the same power.

I got a 850PSU not as my system needed it but so it's never at full load a chip like this would make that much harder.

Oh and Intel I haven't forgotten your glue comments must be a very sticky cpu :D
