I just saw Tom's review of the NexXxoS and just happen to be having trouble mounting my NexXxoS GPX GTX 970 M03 to my Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX-970. He mentioned if you have any trouble to post on the forums, so here I am. I normally just watch Tim's reviews and never post, sorry.
I have tried contacting Alphacool through their website and by posting on their forums but haven't had any response yet.
The instructions show to put the plastic washer on the M3x12 screw then put the screw through the backplate. There is no problem doing this for the two screws near the video card bracket. However the other two screws near the video card power plugs have a problem. The fins of the backplate are too close to the screw hole. The wasters hit the fins and don't sit flush with the black plate. Am I installing this correctly?
I have an idea to fix it but it requires using a Dremel to grind down the fins and clear some space around the screw hole.
Im a newbee so I can't use the IMG tag for the pictures.

Supplied washer near two problem holes. Notice no room around holes to allow washer to sit flush against the backplate. These are the holes I am planning to Dremel.

Fins prevent washer from sitting flush.
