So it's supposed to compete with mice such as the Rival and DA2013, but features a laser* sensor? I think the main selling point of those two is that they use flawless optical sensors. How a laser* mouse can compete with those offerings is beyond me, given that accuracy is one of the most important features for anyone who takes gaming seriously, as ROG would like to think it's customers do.

And if it's true that it won't be a budget mouse, I can seriously see it following in the footsteps of the EVGA TORQ X10. Not a good start, Asus...

It looks very plasticy from the pic, pretty sure I have seen a mouse that looks exactly the same as it as well which means it is an OEM design, I could be wrong though.

It will be a shame if it is a laser sensor, they all have built in acceleration and angle snapping. optical>laser especially for FPS games, I always had laser mice in the past but when I got my Rival with an optical sensor the difference was very noticeable and it is much more accurate.

Since we're on the subject of Mice I thought I'd rant my annoyance how little Left Handed uses are catered for an I expect exactly the same case here. Currently there's the Razer Death Adder and the only others that are viable are the Ambidextrous ones but there not ideal.

I know there's a much higher percentage of right handed people but surely there must be some Left Handed people that find the choice of selection for Lefties pretty annoying.
