I currently own the black sky router for fibre optics and its rubbish, uses old tech and the actual wifi signal is well crap.

So what if I was replace this peice of garbage any suggestions and will I have to change the settings of the new hub? or is it case of plug and go (obv set up passwords for wifi)

Budget £200

You could easily change it out with a normal router - can you set it to bridging mode in any of the options? (that way you can set it up just as a modem and just let the new router do the rest.
