Remote Access Software

Does anyone use software to access their PC remotely and if so, what do you recommend?

I need to use a web based system to be able to use it at work. I once saw someone using one that worked from a standard IE browser, that seemed pretty nifty, does anyone know what that might have been?

Thanks,

Tom

RemotelyAnywhere - Tis web based using Java or ActiveX, and it is VERY nice :)

What I should have said is I believe my company blocks Java, although I am not sure about active X.

Thank you anyway, I will look right at it.

Oh it also does HTML remote control - but its pants compared to the java/activex client.

Ah cool. To be honest, obviously any program that uses HTML will be very limited compared to java/activex. So limited use is still better than no use at all!

Dose your server at work suport VPN client?

If so, it is fantastic piece of work.

I can vouch for Remotely Anywhere, I've got it installed on all of my boxes and it completely pwns, never lets me down.

Just don't try PCAnywhere from Norton Bloatware Inc. The performance is pretty poor and you get Norton's software all over your system.

Any Symantec product is a quick and easy way to make ur computer run like shit and render needing a format 5 mins after installation, lol.

Sym products are the devil. I'd rather have a virus than any of their shit software on my comp.

Rofl I think we're all in agreeance about Symantecs shittyness. We should have a random Symantec rant forum just for public bashings and tongue lashings, hehe. ;)
