Red October - Nearly done **56K Meltdown**

sorry d00d I fail at noticing things.. its about 25cm tall, and indeed there was a kin, gone now though :D

I have the option for both, got a red 30cm cathode and 2 30cm cathodes, but since I have been tidying wires these just haven't made it in yet, the AC Ryan power converter has too much wiring and a backplate which is a stupid idea, need to mod it before I am happy! UV didn't look too hot, but red looks sweet. Only downside it the fans at the back are UV even though I swear I ordered red, and the RAM has yellow and blue lights I do not need, may replace this one day though if it annoys me enough!

Oh and the hard disk holder I have came with a blue fan, not had the machine apart to fix this, so its a mismatch of colours at the moment which hacks me off

lol. you gonna get it powdercoated red, or black, or whatever?

oh, and I have the same problem with my RAM, there are these silly red LED's, I used some nexus memory coolers to hide them. they look sweeeeeet too!

keep those updates coming!

Not at the minute, the PCs are done for now until I think they really need something done. I have poured far too much money into the both of them recently and really should start to invest money elsewhere (like a 4th guitar...) or even a car or something. With the cash I spend on Red October I could have a car :D (albiet not great!)

Later I may get it powdercoated, not entirely sure on the colours though, one red PC and one blue might look good, but then I ahve to worry about a rename!

hey same story with me really. car, or PC :P

I chose PC because I like them more than cars, and I get more enjoyment from a PC. plus, as an added bonus, I cant crash a PC.

Pun intended :D

What is that silver tubing? Seen somthing similar before but when put under UV light the colour of the fluid inside could be seen. Like it was silver normally, then red under UV light. Dont suppose yours is like that?

It is indeed, it is Feser Ones silver 3/8" tubing, it goes blue under UV, somewhat useless in a PC called RED October, but looks good without UV!

:D Took a snap today after building the A70 up, DVD Rom in the bin! :p

It STILL needs cable tidying... one day!

Oh my lovely 7 string in the background ;)

haha, could just be RED October... with a little bit of blue!

Thanks for the info, might look into getting some of that in the future :)

Sadly it is full of blue annoyingly! My RAM has blue lights where it plugs in (from the Tracer RAM) and the hard disk holder had a blue light. Of course I only noticed when I had installed everything and cba changing just one fan! :p

The tubing is good, but it is 1/2"OD, so seems alot thinner than other 3/8" ID stuff (I believe they are 5/8" OD) so it looks a bit more compact. Does the trick I guess, didn't cost too much and comes in laods of colours, I recommend Feser! :D
