Recommended builds??

Wondering if a recommended build thread would be welcome in the New Build Advice section?? Could be a convenient resource for new comers to the scene if kept up to date
Rigs would of course be
1. based on different price points
2. colour coordinated (nothing gets my goat more than reds and blues and yellows all mixed together)
3. open to criticism and ammendements
Thought it would be a bit condescending to start it myself without asking seeing as I'm fairly new to OC3D :p

I'm not too sure how it would go down tbh...

People have different tastes, and people who want to build a rig generally want to make it as personal as they can.
If people want a rig for gaming, pretty much all of us here will recommend a 3570k, GD65/mPower, Crucial M4/Samsung 830, then a corsair power supply, and graphics card dependent on the budget. Then a case of their choice (unless their choice is something made by Thermaltake - cause then they get banned)

Tech changes too quickly really to warrant a sickied thread I think

Oh yeah it wouldn't be very personalised and I guess there is a kind of standard formula, thanks for pointing that out!!

try and reccomend a nVidia card and get trounced with AMD solutions and vice-versa.
and same goes with CPU solutions.
yeah, it'd be a spot to concentrate, but like it was said before.. too many different tastes
for the limited flavors available (at that time of posting).

plus a plethora of build conscience reviews on price point builds.
we thrive on personel answers, rather than "cookie cutter" reciepes.

Out of curiosity, why the heck would they be banned when having a thermaltake? is that kind of racist?

Oh My!

I don't have a Thermaltake case, I have one that is much worse... does that mean I'll get banned very very soon? I am aware that this is an enthuziast adressed forum lol
