Hi guys! :wavey:

Im getting a Core 2 Duo finally tonight.

I need to get a new PSU, this one is pretty darn pants...

Im using scan(sorry special tech).. I need a PSU that is of good quailty and under £50.. That would run an 8800 with a normal Core 2 Duo setup.

With a bit more power for future upgrades.

Thanks in advance.:p

it would be fine for most things, but i know your running water cooling and an 8800GTS. It mite not quite be up too it tbh.

Tbh id save a bit more and get on of the usual makes around the 600w mark. I can recomend silverstone and seasonic personaly.

And go for modular if possible, its a godsend.

I have a 480w Tagan running my system, no problems :)

Altho I guess a 8800 will use a bit more than my x1900xt?

Deffo.

Im recomending probably slightly more than what he needs, but tbh you should always tak on an extra 75/100w at least.

The PSU is one of, if not the, most important bit of ur PC.

SO DAMM TRUE! Theres so many people that have a cheap PSU and it goes and they end up buying a whole new PC. Trust, you don't want to do that. Spend that little extra to save your PC, and have that peace of mind.
