reason for deathmatch (not really proper dm tho) on cs:s?

I just went on the DM server and I'm just thinking WTF is the point?

Everyone just chooses AWP/Deagle. I know I'm probably moaning/ranting a bit, but when you've played proper DM with pickups etc, the idea of the cs:s one is a bit stupid tbh.

It really just makes you worse at the game and seems to make people camp and hide more. ?

There's just no logic to it at all (Unless you want to practice hiding with the AWP).

Yea DM on css sucks meatballs proper. Its litterally either a sprayfest, an awpfest or a hackfest. Thus the reason why I dont use it unless its a massive map with less than 20 people. Anymore and its literally

1) spawn

2) fumble with gun choice

3) die in frustration

4) spawn

5) quickly rush weapon choice as an awp is homed on your position

6) manage to survive - sneak up on some1, shoot at point blank, miss coz of rates

7) die

8) get accused of hacking by some1 who actually is

9) spawn, kill, die and repeat

10) leave server

That's almost impossible in the DM, since there are many AWPers looking everywhere, I run around snipe some people, no scope some people, deagle some people, and I die

Yeah the DM can be annoying, but I only use it for a warmup before a match or something. Lots of people do like the DM so nothings going to be changed...

We also have another Dust2 DM on trial now, see if thats any better for you?

I have never understood this. Make a CS server no one plays on it.. Make a CS Dm server loads join..

But yet people complain about Dm.. ?

How usefull is deathmatch for a clan warmup?

no tactics needed, all AWP/Deagle, more hiding ?

I don't think it does very well for real team practice.

But then you get used to camp and end up getting owned on team matches.

camping is something that noobs moan about, if someone is camping then theyre easier to kill on account of the fact theyre not moving, its your fault for not checking / flashing / nading. nobody forces you to buy an awp, you buy whatever you want. and mrapoc, press three and you dont have to worry about your gun choice ever again

yea that is pretty hard, you just have to realise that your KDR doesnt matter atall, its just practice. its not like you have to sit around and wait after you die

I enjoyed it as it is a nice change , and as has already been said the site is a lot fuller now, not to mention my pistol aim got better, even if everyone else was awping, i even managed to knife oxo for teh first (and probably last) time

Still- no matter what server i am on the wife moans just the same

But imo, the DM is excellent for learning to use a weapon, and all this talk about using awps and camping, if u cant take an awper out u hant got much chance in matches, and like llwyd sed, if ur not careful about campers they will get u, hense teaching urself to look everywhere and be more aware

i'm still crap either way, suppose i had better play more. i prefer running around the map like a crazy chicken with a pistol. i dont like snipers as i hate having to zoom etc.
