Hey guys im wondering how to get surround sound with this Codec. Is it even possible to get it? when I go into the sound control panel I cant get sound out of the DTS and Dolby true HD but when I test Dolby digital in the supported formats my receiver on my triton ax 720 headset picks it up.
The annoying thing is that once I test the Dolby digital format my receivers Dolby LED lights up but when I play games with 7.1 surround I don't get the LED showing up
I play BF3, ARMA 2 and 3, CS:S etc.. but I do not get any surround sound. When I go to my Xbox and plug it in I get the Dolby LED up during gameplay then when switching to the pc I get nothing but they both share the same TOSLINK optical port
I am absolutely clueless in how to get my surround to work but the supposedly bundled Thx trustudio is just a trial so I cant use that and would rather not pay the money.
Should I just get a Headset like the razer megalodon or corsair 1500's because they should work due to their in-build usb sound card ?
Also due to the fact I have 2 7950s on this asrock z77 oc formula and a network wireless card. if it get another soundcard it would block my Gpu fan for either graphics card.
