Hey guys,

I ran AS SSD and the results are way dissapointing, not at all what I expected. Im in ACHI mode and im on the intel sata 3 port(grey). The board im using is the ASUS p67 Deluxe. Ive only had the drive since christmas was a present from the missus. Does anyone have any suggetions as to why this is running so slow.

If anyone can help or has any suggestions for me to try out I would be well grateful.

Cheers Guys and have a great day

Are you definitely using a sata 3 cable? Do your motherboard and the drive have the latest firmware?

The write speed is low, but the read is almost normal. The speed goes down the more you fill a SSD. Also, try and run the benchmark again without doing anything else on ur pc. Exit unnecessary programs b4 u start it..

Try use ATTO and see if you get 500 read/write

OK so I tried ATTO and have attached a thumbnail and that looks a lot better. I have downloaded SANDRA and tried the SSD benchmark on that and the read was 384 MB. This is very confusing how come the results between the 3 are so different and which if any is the true speed???

Also I have 27.5gb of free space left if that makes a difference.

Cheers Marc

The ATTO benchmark uses compressible data, which the SandForce controller based SSD's love, the AS benchmark uses incompressible data which the SandForce SSD's aren't as good with.
