Rampage Against The Machine

Hi.

This is my current system. I've had it for nearly a year now. It was the first system I built ever, and had a great experience teaching myself the basics. My intention was to spend more than I needed to for now, and then down the track when it's age starts to show, I'll have all the equiptment required to start to teach myself how to overclock to get a few more years of life out of it.

A few months ago I upgraded my entry level 19' Viewsonic monitor to the Benq XL2420T. Most games except Crysis 3 have had no problems maintaining 90-120fps(except Bioshock Infinite, but that was a Nvidia driver issue). I listened to people like Linus saying 120fps is worth it and I must agree. I love how buttery smooth everything looks now.

Specs:
-Rampage IV Formula
-i7 3930K
-16GB Corsiar Vengence LP
-EVGA GTX 670 FTW
-2 x Crucial M4 256GB RAID0
-WD Green 2TB
-NZXT Havik 140
-Silverstone Strider 850W Gold Evolution
-Silverstone RV02-E USB3
-Benq XL2420T
-Ducky Shine2 (MXBlk/RedLED)
-SteelSeries QcK Mass
-Logitech G400
-Xbox360 Controller for Windows
-Steelseries 7H

Apart from the stickers (just a personal thing, they break up the otherwise clean lines of a goo chassis like this one too much) it's a staunch rig, to be sure! Any plans later on to try and watercool this chassis?

Hi timelapse,
Sweet rig you have there , the specs sound alot like one of Linus's personal rigs.
But I do have to agree with Mgutierrez33 , I also am not a big fan of the stickers, but that's a personal thing , if you like them that's all that matters.
But a very nice setup , congrats on your first rig, I'm glad everything worked for you.
Members here can give you info on how to overclock your system.

Thanks guys. Yeah the stickers are totally a personal thing. I'm not sure if it's to do with when I was younger covering my skateboard with stickers or something, but the plain case just seemed boring to me. I may get sick of them and remove them when I "grow up", I'll just have to wait and see.

And yeah definately no watercooling in this case. Honestly, TTL's review of the white version of this case, saying it's the ultimate air cooling case, swayed me into getting it. I'm hoping if I throw another GTX 670 FTW into SLI, that I'll be sorted for at least the first 3-4 years of the "next gen" of gaming. Maybe when the xbox two and ps5 are coming I might do a new watercooling rig. We'll see :D

I'm also thinking of putting a couple of those bitfenix red light strips inside and changing the front blue case led to red (if possible), but that's way down the track
