RAID 10 failure

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, and also new to computer building. This past July I decided to build a new 3D rendering workstation for myself. I used an ASUS Rampage III Extreme motherboard, Corsair Dominator memory, an ASUS GTX580 graphics card, and four 1 tb Western Digital RE4 hard drives configured in a RAID 10 using the ICH10R controller built on to the motherboard. I got it built and loaded the software. It worked fine up until recently, when I started getting the message "Error Ocurred" at boot-up regarding one of the drives. I started looking into how to fix this when another drive started returning the same error. So, I was now running on the two back up drives. Then, a couple days ago, a third drive began to give the same error. Now the computer wouldn't boot. I went to the RAID boot panel using CNTRL+I, and recieved the message "Failed RAID voume detected. Recover RAID? I typed "Y". Now the computer will boot, but it returns the message "No operating system found".

I did some searching on the web and found that the "Error Occurred" message seems to be the fault of the Intel Storage Matrix Manager. Apparently I should have loaded version 8.8 instead of 8.0.0 which came with the motherboard. It seems to be too late for that, though. I'm under the impression that I'm going to have to completed reload the OS and software from scratch now, after running diagnotics on each drive to make sure they're okay.

Does anyone know of a way to recover a RAID 10 from this situation??

Thanks!

Gordon
