Quietest Fans?

What, in your opinions, are the quietest fans with reasonable performance?

As long as they can cool an opty150 and 2 7800GTXs (NOT OVER-CLOCKED) using a 120.3 rad... i'm happy.

I don't want to be able to hear them over my game sound. :D

Thanx People

nexus/yate loon are brilliant. dead silent pretty good airflow.

akasa ambers at 7v dead quiet 5v inaudiable.

panaflo at 7v very quiet.

if your using quiet fans i presume you'll be pairing it with a PA120.3?

AcoustiFan: DustPROOF = (Volts/cfm/dba) 12/56/25, 7/42/16, 5/25/<10

Scythe S-Flex = 12/33/8

What PSU will you be using though? As this will most probably be the loudest component. Nesteq do a nice 620W semi-fanless one (used to be called Elan Vital) is has 80% plus efficiency rating, 25A on 3.3, 30A on 5V, 12v1 18a 12v2 30a. 0-30dba - can have it manual or automatic (i.e when it reaches a certain temp fan goes on). I wouldn't like to use one on an SLI rig though having said that they do have 2 PCIe connectors so I guess they're designed for it?

Cheers people, Im using a PCP&C850 at the moment with 3 YStechs pulling air through the rad (125cfm and Very loud) Even on my fan controller at lowest possible speeds they are very audiable... I will have a look into all the above mentioned, thanx :D

If you know any retailers of these/other fans, can you please PM me, cheers.

Stocky if you could ever test those couple I mentioned above that would be much appreciated.

Sounds like a decent PSU - plenty of juice to the 12v rails too :)

Just ordered them :)

Nice one dude! I'm particularly interested in how the Scythe performs as it sounds a bit too good to be true, having said that there passive heatsinks are excellent.

I agree, I wasn't aware of that one - I knew about the SilenX dust proof - I think Phil uses them in his systems, so they must be good! :)

The Scythe ones do sound interesting on the technology front, with fluid bearings etc...

Will be interesting to see. I do have a few more random fans to test; including an Evercool and an Adda (come with Lian-Li). :B
