Quiet gaming case options~

Let me start off with saying I am a bit of a newbie as I am terribly out of date. The last time I built my own computer was a little over 10 years ago :/

Now, I am looking for a case to fit the bill of what I am wanting/hoping. I am hoping to get a quiet case, or at least as quiet as possible as this will be a gaming system, but it will also second as a media server so I don't want to hear a jet engine when I am trying to be a good boyfiend and watching some drama with the lady~
I am a big fan of having a side mounted fan to try and help the GPU be as cool as possible.

I have looked at the;
- Antec P280 or P193 V3
- Fractal Design Define R4
- Corsair Obsidian 550D
- Lian Li PC-A70F
- CoolerMaster 690 II Advanced (I know not the most silent)
- NZXT Source 220
- Silverstone FT-02
- and Thermaltake I honestly have no idea about.

Here is what I am thinking about doing....

Mostly I am looking for people that have had experience with any of the above cases and how they are for sound dampening, yet keeping all the goodies inside nice and chilly. Or anyone that has any other suggestions.
Or I have also simply thought about finding a case that I like more than the above ones and getting quiet fans (which I am going to be doing anyways) and see how it goes.

Thanks to all in advance~

you can drop the 850watt PSU and 650 is plenty big enough.
as for air cooling the 660 ti depending on how rough you are on
an overclock, or how much heat the CPU delvelops is pretty much
the "jet engine" control. my 660 ti 3GB is rather quiet. only tap
the 78° when rendering for a couple of hours. the water-cooling
plan will change that with a 20° drop and quiet radiator fans.

i too have the arc midi and with the correct fan.. i'd put it up against
any door case..its 75% hardware 15% case and 10% earwax!
throw a 36dbA noisey fan PSU and any case is gunna bleed noise.
if its noisey and you want quiet.. replace the noise, not the case.
granted a case can help, but it limits one to creative and hardware
possibilities.

case and point (didnt mean to pun) corsair 550D is a great air-cooling
case, crap for a water-cooling case.
some non--scripted "silent" cases can be awesome lookers and
quiet as well.

If you really like the looks of the CM 690 II you should see if you can get your hands on a Nexus Prominent R. It's kind of the same style, but build towards silence including sound dampening materials and anti vibration stuff. Also comes with 2 or 3 Nexus Silent fans and I personally like the layout of the drive cages better than the actual 690 II. Might be hard to find one though, as Nexus is a Dutch company and they're not very well known :(

Out of that list, I would personally go Define R4
