If you use a case can you have the side panel on while you have the prommy installed? or is the socket too low down?

Reason I ask is I'm getting a case next week but it looks as low the socket is too low down.

Also does anyone overclock with their memory in the yellow slots? Due to the insulation the 4th slot is a bit tight for space.

Thanks, Nick.

BH-5 generally does better in the yellow slots and TCCD in the orange.

The socket will be too low to have the side panel on. There are 3 ways to do this;

1. Run with out side panel

2. Make a spacer between case and MII to increase the height to the socket

3. Buy a CM stacker as I reckon that would fit fine :D

Nick mine fits Okay - I think the tube at one point is slightly hogher than the cooling head - is this bad?

The spacer thing seems likea good idea - maybe use some AKASA silencing stuff to help with vibration - killing two birds with one stone.

With as the fans and a slighty larger watecoolign system stuffed inside my P160 case it's all looking a bit crowded - but doing the job it does well.

Cheers

Is that true about BH5 doing better in the yellow slots?

Where did you see this - post me a link so I can check it out - or pm me if it's a competitor forum.

cheers

Thanks for the info guys. Didn't know about the yellow slots/bh5 thing either.

Yeah could be interesting - but like nick25 I am buggered if I am doing it before I see someone else have some success as I got things running sweet (apart from 1 blown up 7800 :( )

loooooooooooooooooooooool

Sometimes you can bend the evap tube slightly to fit the reason I dont shorten the evap tube on the chilly1's or on any unit realy is I dont know what mobo most people are using and if you have your unit modded it may not fit the next gen mobo's etc :(

OT: Fatty mate can you go on MSN if pos, need to talk to you...
