Quality tripple rad

So thermochills pa120.3 seems to hold the crown as ownage.

Thing is, it's £60+p&p.

Over at ST there are various alphacool tripple rads for as little as £25, Jim recommended xspc's rad @ £45.

I saw a comparsion of the he120.3 vs pa120.3 - the pa had a 3-4 deg advantage - pretty impressive.

i wondered if anyone has any other head to head reviews of tripple rads - is it worth me spending £60 on a pa or £45 on the xspc or £25 on the alpha...

All opinions welcome!

the next best thing is the Swiftech 320 rad, idk where u can get it in the UK thou. Its been tested by Marci and it came 2nd to thermochill, and has a small price tag on it which is good =P

It will be cooling my cpu which will have a 320w pelt on, and my gfx card (currently 7900gto - soon to be r600)

Couldn't find the swifty one you recommended (in stock) in the UK

Nah, XMS has the same pelt running on a double rad, minus the gpu. I figure it evens it out with the tripple!

I don't actually know how much heat a 320w pumps out tho!

Pelts dump a good amount of heat in to the loop. You would be fine keeping the gpu block in the same loops but you are definately not going to see the full benefit of watercooling on the gpu unless u make it it's own loop. You might even think about a single loop double rad setup....

pump>dual rad>cpu>single rad>gpu

Something of that nature perhaps.

Like the sound of that - cheapness lol... Would the ddc ultra cope with that extra rad? Only bummer is placing the extra rad... Sure I'd find somewhere for it.

@ the not seeing full benefits of w/c the gpu with a tripple - surely it would be better temps than air cooling?

that would sound more plausible, less tubing and ud have one less pump. h/e id use a high head flow pump to push through all of that.

These are the Rads I use

I have a single and a double laying around Mr smith if you decide to go that way. I like them as they are thicker than other rads (more surface area)

I would imagine because they are thicker they will need good fans. I use the Silverstone 110 CFM versions.

I wanted to use the noctua fans - want quiet...

will my pump not cut it? ddc ultra?

May just get a decent air cooler for the gfx card if it proves too much hassle!

With adding a GPU block + an extra radiator you're probably going to want a pump with higher head than the DDC. The D5 would probably do the trick, or u might even look at a more powerful pump which wont be as quiet or dump as little heat as the D5 in to the water, but ur gonna want that extra output mefinks.

2 rads, gpu and cpu, ultra should be fine, but if u wanna improve it get a petras or alphacool top and ur set.

Umm... actually Frag the DDC has much higher head than the D5, nearly double at 12v. What the D5 has an advantage in is flow rate, and with a top mod the DDC is evens it out a bit more.

instead of paying 25 dollars a fan, id get some of the new 80cfm yates which are @ 38cfm i believe and get a fan controller. This one is awesome and looks cool too.

i mentioned that in 2nd post h/e i dont think they can get them in the UK, unless international shipping.
