Quad SLI leaves much to be desired atm

Good (p)review of quad SLI by Xbitlabs, they experienced a lot of issues in games, frame rates vary from being good in some games and getting beaten by Crossfire in others, given the cost of such systems i cant see many informed people jumping to buy one just yet.

To be fair, Quad-SLI does provide better performance when it most counts (i.e. Oblivion) - but it is clear from the problems and cases where it is outperformed by dual-SLI that the drivers need more work. That was the case with both SLI and CrossFire initially too.

However the G71 cores (and hopefully memory too) should be monstrously overclockable if anyone can work out a way to watercool those dual cards.
