Quad Core or not?

Guys, I have £350 courtesy of my wife as a birthday present.

I have looked ona couple of sites and found a quad core with ram and a HD but no MB for £310 - http://www.scan.co.uk/mixit/

Any one know of any better deals including a MB less HD or is the dual core on the same page the better one to go for. Folding will be a common feature as will Project Reality BF2 and CSS.

All other equipment will be as my current spec.

Well theres not much that will use all the cores tbh atm, but there will in the future. Ive heard good things about the dual cores athough my bro has just gone quad core. Its up to you really, as far as i know bf2 and css dont use all 4 cores.

yeah its like dx 10, its there and its not really needed at the mo, but further down the line we all be getting one, so its upgrade now, or wait until its needed and you never know, prices may drop even further, good price though!

Id go for a E68/750, IP35-pro and a set off Cell shocks mate. May be a little over budget but its you b-day afterall.

Ok so far, E6850 =£170, or E6600 quad £170 . IP35 Pro = £120, and memory about £70. Thats me spent up just need to consider when to order. now or in a weeks time.

LOL - there are no guarantees in this game More likey is a better way of putting it (don't want to build false hopes).

Waiting until tomorrow before I can start the build I am gonna post a couple of crappy slightly out of focus pictures in the rig gallery on how it is at the moment and what it went from.
