QPad MK50 at Argos for £38.99

Nice find mate! That's a good wee bargain there :)

Just bought one, finally the so called "News Guru" is no longer a cheap membrane keyboard peasant!

I look forward to actually owning a mechanical keyboard, this is going to be nice.

Tempting but the lack of a Windows killing key is a deal-breaker for me, I guess I could physically break the key or something. Think I'll just keep saving for the Logitech G710+, which is actually on offer in 2 shops ah decisions

You could use Autohotkey to make the system ignore the WinKey presses when you game, but you would have to activate/deactivate the script when you need/dont need it. I think it's something like:
LWin::return

What is the Keyboard Layout called specifically?
The layout is identical to my current one as far as a small Left Shift followed by slash key, and a big backspace and two row Return key. Further more the " key is on 2 and @ key is just above the Right Shift. which I've found is quite hard to find.

this is really tempting me espeacially as I can get £23 off the price :D

Isn't that just a standard UK QWERTY keyboard? That's where I've always known " and @ to be, except when I've used a German QWERTZ keyboard layout.

QWERTY:

Yea thats what I thought it was, the uk standard layout........ but it seems the majority of keyboards I've looked at have a Large Left Shift and those that dont have the " and @ switched......

I think I need to do some more digging

Edit:
I literally picked this one out at random...

^^^ this layout would drive me insane

That's interesting; my left shift is small, yet " is on 2, and @ above right shift (Corsair K95)

Edit:

Oh yeah I see, that would be weird; I've never seen one like that in person.

It's known as the ISO mechanical layout and is used throughout Europe (different countries may use different keycaps for letters though). The other one you're referring to is known as the ANSI mechanical layout and is used primarily in the US. There is also another layout known as the JIS mechanical layout which is the used as the basis for Japanese boards.

Thanks for clearing that up :)
