T Tetras New member Jan 23, 2010 #6 You might like the Toms article comparing Core 2 Quad (Q9550 so somewhat faster than the Q6600) and others at 2.8 Ghz: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/quad-core-cpu,2499.html Personally I'd be sticking with a Q6600 because you'd need a new motherboard and RAM (unless you happen to have DDR3 already). i3 I 100% wouldn't touch from your CPU.
