Not a bad job. Decent cable management. Just 1 question. If you're on a budget, why go with 16g of ram? Depending on what you're using the rig for, 8g would have been more than enough and you could have used the extra cash for better ram or maybe a better GPU.

Considering you say you're on a budget that's a nice tidy build you have there !
Hang in there with the enthusiasm, YOU WILL GET THERE :)

Nice setup man! Noticed the controller on the desk, what RC hobby do you do? Nitro, boats, planes...?

I was into nitro, got a tmaxx not used it for a couple of months. It's a flysky gt3b

I suppose I got the tunnel vision of more ram is better when buying the parts.
And I haven't overclocked before and as of yet to. So didn't see the necessity for the better ram when I was planning the build.

For the lighting, I used LED strip lights: purchased from ebay.
Around £20 for a 5m strip with remote and power adapter.
You have to be careful as some don't come with the adapter making it annoying to have to buy one separate.
They're very good, the cables running out the back and over the strips don't cast shadows due to the intensity of the LEd's themselves.
They also come with 3M tape which I used to stick along the back edge of the desk.
