Yes, that's right! kempez pointed this out to me.. Take a look at your CPU temp..

Now look at PV's sig for awhile, and check your CPU temp again. It's gone up, right? :D

LOL sorry guys, it's my super powers coming through. I'll try to hold them back a bit for ya :D Or it could be the heat coming off the lightning ROFL

if i am foding its usually 56*C and if i aint it is about 53 or 54*C

Oh right folding.. Didn't think of that..

I know just about nothing about AMDs, does anyone know if that temp is too high?

Thats right on the edge of what i'd call acceptable. Get a better cooler! My AMD never goes above 45oc and its 30oc outside atm.

His temp reading is probabally off due to the sensor on the s754's. AMD changed the temp diode pin on the s754's, so one may read higher, one lower, one accurate. The only way to tell is to place a sensor on the heatpipes of a CPU cooler the closest to teh base, or between teh cpu & heatsink (which I do not reccomend.)

The standard one is more than sufficient. Just make sure your case airflow is good and cables aren't disturbing it.

what do you mean by standard, stock? well my stock is not sufficent i get temps of 60+ thats why i got my new vortex which i will soon change to wc ;)

wel its a bit too hot, my overall case coolin is pritty crap it consists of 2 80 mil fans, and neither are fast...and there are no cables anywhere neer it

and can anyone sugest a good air cooler, i wouldnt mind watercoolin, but i would prolly skrew it up

I'm @ 49° folding and it goes to 48° watching that sig. :hello:

I must be counterproductive today...been watching the sig for two hours and that dude hasn't shot anything, hasn't moved, and the weather hasn't let up.
