Hi all, just wondering if could have some advice. I originally had 2 XFX Radeon HD 6000 series (crossfire) GPUS in my rig and I uesto get a little bit of psu nose. Now I have upgraded to 2x Asus 390x gpus and the noise from my psu sounds like a spectrum loading a tape. Is it time for a new psu? I have a 1250w psu and done an online calculator that says I need approx 1000w psu.......any help would be much appreciated :p

OCZ power supplies are, as far as I can tell, assembled by partially blind iguanas following instructions that have been translated from Japanese to dutch by a Lithuanian rice herder. The components used are amongst the very best as supplied by the skipload from "Dodgy Daves reconditioned spare parts" service and the quality control consists of dropping each and every power supply down a flight of stairs. There is no pass or fail, every unit is then resold as a premium product.

Intel, Nvidia and AMD are all lifelong fans of OCZ power supplies, as are all the major motherboard and memory manufacturers as OCZ ensures a constant supply of customers looking to replace their burnt out still smoking components.

All IMHO, of course.

Sounds like a plan then. I shall take TTL suggestion and burn my current one in a pit of fire. Last thing i want is to kill me rig!

Oooh OCZ PSU *Cringe* Tom isn't the only one to fall foul to those, my old system was wiped out by a ModXstreme 500W unit, they make a funny noise then bang it's too late, magic purple smoke and dead components. Glad you have a new PSU, may your system live long.
