PS4 Announced, what games are you most excited for?

Basically what the title says, and are you going to get it?
The games I'm most excited for are Killzone: Shadow Fall (because I'm Dutch you know ), and inFamous Second Son.
Also, I'm not going to get the PS4. Because I'd rather have a gaming PC, which is going to suck up all of my money in a month or 3. If I'm unlucky even 4. And if I decide to buy the Cosmos 2 and add GPUs (and watercooling) later, maybe even 6
Anyways, I hope to hear your opinions.

i just today found out that it was announced at all. not giving any f***s though, i heard even sony said it's "almost(lol) as powerful as PCs were 2 years ago". pathetic.

I agree, the graphics aren't amazing. But the new console does have some nice features, and some nice new IPs. Though I'm not buying one. I might get one in 2 ~ 3 years, when the price has dropped. One thing I REALLY missed at this announcement: Kingdom Hearts 3
Kingdom Hearts 1 was the first game on PS2 which I ever played (together with Tom & Jerry).

i lost all hope for the gaming industry. to whatever it changes, it can't be good. not with consoles defining the future. haven't had a game in the past 3 years i considered really good, mediocre at best. call me a hipster but i wish gaming would have stayed that nerdy thing the weirdos do, it wasn't all about the money back then.

I grabbed the text above from wikipedia so I don't know if it's true but if it is I'm really disappointed.... I can't believe that it haven't got a stronger GPU or at least two mid range, especially when they are so power efficient and can be cooled fairly easily. We need future proof consoles, not consoles that only will play games we have today.

You know how people always say PC>consoles.
How much do you need to spend for the PC to be better? Because my rig isn't as good as my Xbox. Then again i never built it with gaming in mind and i don't really game, but it seems to compare to fairly well with a lot of "gamers" rigs.

Yes i am :/
I don't think the graphics are as good and the experience certainly isn't, but then the later is more of a personal preference really.

Maybe it's technically better or something, but to my eyes it isn't.

I've tried Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3 ported to OS X, again on full (being ports i guess it's not fair to judge based on these)

I have to admit that Trine looked REALLY good though. But then there's nothing to it.

What scores should i be seeing in cinebench? Or does it not work like that?

It's a thread about a console on a PC forum, it's bound to go off topic mate

All those games should look miles better on a PC, since in the first place your actually running them at 1080p, not upscaled 648p, and secondly your running them at max, not below lowest...
In all honesty I shouldn't engage in this argument since all my friends run xboxes/PS3, and I know how bad these arguments can get... It's your opinion, I wont try to change it

The thing about older gen consoles is they use "tricks" to fool you into thinking the game is better looking than it really is. Things such as locked frame rates ie 30 or even worse case 25fps. A very narrow field of view so there is less to render on the screen and because you are sitting further back from the tv it wont affect you as much. Larger gun models hide the details behind them so less to render on the fly rather than a constant texture etc. Upscaled resolutions. 720p upscaled to 1080p res.

There was an image comparison I saw a while back on bf3 on all platforms and the pc version is much better. Unfortunately I cant seem to find it now .
