Bit of a dilema. I want to play Blu-ray movies, but dont know whether i should go all out and pay £299 for a PS3 or £150 for a dedicated blu-ray player..

Originally i planned to just get the player as i have a 360 and tbh, dont use it all that much. But the thought of having that extra option when friends come over is tempting me. Reckon it's worth the extra £150?

imo yes

It's slick as hell and the quality is about the best on the market right now. It auto-updates itself so will always be compliant with whatever the standard is. It loads BR's about 4x quicker than the closest BR player on the market

Oh...did I mention it also plays games and has a load of media sharing stuff on it?? :D

Not to mention PlayTV of course :)

PS3 hands down

It can fold

Its gonna have games coming out now developers have started unlocking its full power

Little big planet...

Free online

Again bluray is fantastic...updates to the newest standard and auto fetches special content

They look the sex

Quieter than the 360

Oh and hdmi with 1080p p00ns

Had a simiar thought with Ps2 and DVD players.

Got the Ps2.. and only used it as a dvd player >.<

Worked very well tho, had buttons and everything for it, optical out etc etc.

I'd not hesitate to go Ps3. A bluray player would be too 1 dimensional for me, for the sake of it. They still £150 ? Seems alot.
