ProJulz - Feral Fractal

Hey guys. You may be wondering where the name of my rig came from... Well, my friend somehow HATES the look of my Fractal Design Arc Midi. The first time he saw it, he lovingly named it the "Feral Fractal" and the name stuck. The specs are nothing feral though...

Intel Core i5 2500K @ 4.6GHz under a Corsair H100 with Noctua NF-P12's

ASRock Fatal1ty Z68 Pro Motherboard

2x Gainward GTX 570 Golden Sample 'Goes Like Hell' editions in SLI at 800MHz

Corsair AX850

16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz 9-9-9-24

Hitachi 1TB HDD (No SSD, yet.)

and of course, the Fractal Design Arc Midi case.

UPDATE: BitFenix Spectre Pro white LED fans x3, and a BitFenix Alchemy white LED strip (Holy crap they're bright). Sorry the light kind of flushes out the visibility. It obviously looks far nicer in real life.

Another Update: For my birthday, my completely insane but also very cool friend bought me a Cosmos 2. I may put pictures up at a later date.

Looks really neat - very nice. If it were me though I would have to get rid of those Noctuas and have fans matching your exhaust one instead.

That's a really nice system. All that matter is that you're happy with your PC. Really like that case.

Thanks guys. I would have matching fans on the H100, but the red LED CoolerMaster fans are stupidly loud. The one in the back is on a fan speed reducer. The Noctua's push the same amount of air with nearly no noise. Plus, I kinda like the look of them.

After seeing Tinytomlogan's review of the Cosmos II, I've decided I will be buying one the moment they become available here in Australia. Sexiest. Case. Ever.

Having a good look at you build, I think its rather elegant. I've never really considered the Arc case before, but your build opens up a raft of possibilities that I've never thought of. The Cosmos II doesn't really inspire me, as its too ostentatious, your build however is understated - just the way I like them.

Why thank you kind sir. The Arc is certainly a brilliant case, and I don't really need anything bigger, but the pomp of that Cosmos II makes me want it.

Lovely, tidy rig man, beautiful throughout. Bur agreeing with you on the 120mm CM Red LED fans being too loud, got two stuck on my sidepanel, what a noise, will have to find some voltage reducer cables, at least 6v to reduce the noise, however, thanks to my z-5500, it drowns them out very nicely! haha!

Having to agree with you on the Cosmos, yes it's a nice case, but I feel that you'd never do it justice without sticking a SR-2 in it, that's just the way I feel, I think a ATX board alone would look stupid, unless you could mount a cylindrical res along the right of the board, that would look sweet!

But in all, I wouldn't know what to do with it! Haha.

Just so you guys know, I now have the H100 in a 'pull' configuration, so the Noctua fans are not visible. The rear fan was replaced with a 140mm Fractal fan to match the intakes. Looks much better. Will update with photos soon.

Awesome rig I love how neat and tidy it is

It is just so simple in a good way.

This is not to do with the topic but I was trying to post some pics of my rig and I keep getting a error saying (you must enter a post)

not quite sure what I am doing wrong but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Again great looking rig
