This project is for a year 12 systems engineering class. I found this case kicking around in the shed gathering up some dust so i decided to use that, This will be my first official case mod

[Note: I googled the case i am modding since i was half way stripping the case before i realised i needed pictures]

This is the case when i just pulled out the components that were in it. (Pentium 4)

This is when i was drilling out the rivets trying to figure out how i could just get the bare chassis (backplate and motherboard tray)

This is the picture when i riveted the top part of the case to the bottom of it to create a bottom for the build

Heads on view from the project so far

Something similar to what i want it to look like (Yes, it might look like a lot/similar to a Tj07 but i have always liked how a tj07 looks and i want to do this one my way instead of buying a $300 TJ07 and possibly ruining it since i am a first time case modder.)

(That is an unfinished design)

I am open to suggestions for this mod. Also suggest a name for this build as i do not have one.

Lookin' forward to this, I love it when new life is breathed into an old chassis like this.

It will be great to bring back that case, since it was my first actual computer. It used to play all the games i played when i was 10-12.

Can't wait to see more progress, more PICS

Pictures will most likely come soon when i get into making it at school since it is a school project, i am only doing the basic stuff at home to save some time.

Well today, I thought since i was about to make this project i might as well see if my motherboard would fit on that motherboard tray(890-FXA-UD5). It didn't fit because it was too long and it over extended the fixed in motherboard mounts. So i was thinking of a way to make a new motherboard tray. I was thinking of scrapping the whole project and using either a bought case and doing something completely different or getting a pre-made motherboard tray (Lian-Li one).

So i was looking at the old side panel, It is 10cms taller than the original motherboard tray and i riveted it up to the case (I had to take all the rivets out and pretty much strip the case into its solid parts). It did take about an hour overall to get this done but i think this will be a better motherboard tray than the original case one.

I did bash in the side panel opener but then the metal bent so i have to either cut that out and fit it back in so it is flush (same with the side panel hole vent thing there).
