I've decided to seperate this from Project "iSwitched Back", seeing as how that was never really a project
But anyways, my hard drive died a few days back and my new one is currently on it's way, but in the meanwhile, I've decided it's about time I did something with my case.
I currently have a Cooler Master CM690, and much like Jim's F40 Project (not copying
), I've decided to repaint my case in a Ferrari design. My plan is to paint the insides of the case in dark Satin Black, and paint the side panels as well as the front and top mesh on the case in Ferrari Rossa, leaving the black plastic underneath the mesh untouched, which should create a nice effect.
I started yesterday, and got to stripping down the case to the bare bonnes:
And I applied the first coat of satin black:
I went out today to get a second can of black paint as well as the red paint, unfortunately, I couldn't find any of the right colored red in any local hardware shops, so I'll have to head out to some hobby shops later this week to have a look.
I've applied the second coat though, and I'll have some more pics up tomorrow morning once there's daylight to take them in
This is the mesh which I've stripped from the case that I will be painting in Ferrari Rossa:
So that, on top of the black under layer, should look damn nice, or so I'm hoping. (You can also see the expansion slot brackets as well as the inside of the side panels which I've already painted black).
