started modding the front of the case for better air flow and a seamless look. Plan is to hinge the front for access to the back of the aquaero as needed.

Also get a look at the colors. Idea is to match the motherboard colors so the color is actually anthracite with grey metallic.

Need to do the top panel next and either get a custom cut tempered glass side or make the side window bigger.

Note about the pictures. Side and top panel have not been repainted yet and the front may change colors as it seem really dark unless in bright light.

Started taking pictures late so I had already cut the front for the venting and the aquero. I'm in the process of mounting both.

The Red/Black NZXT H440 case that I have started to mod.

Glued in the venting and the aquero face plate

Sanded down the glue and now to put some body filler on it to get it all level

added a couple more of the front section. I honestly didn't think of doing a build log right away so I didn't start taking pics till I was starting to mount the front venting.

I'm an older guy so the old days is all I know. lol

Really like the Heatkiller res /D5 combo. I haven't seen anyone use them and I happened across it while looking at parts for my build on the Aquatuning website and got it from modmymods since they are US based. Now that I have been able to hold it and see the construction I'm really happy with it. I can't wait to see it filled and in use.

Decided to take a break from filing and paint the NZXT plate on the side of the power supply cover. Ended up being way easier then I thought.

Sand down the melted plastic that hold the layers together and they all pop right out with a little wiggling.

Lightly sand the face and apply some primer.

Just used a little bit of super glue to hold it all back together after the paint dried.

Going to change the back light to RGB but layed the piece back into the case for a quick picture.

made a plate to hide the area where the hard drive mounts were and to now give me more room to hide cabling.

Cut the bit of a flange off both sides and ground it smooth. Just need to paint both pieces

Have a parts system from another manufacture that I been stealing the venting and some parts off of. So I figured why not ditch the USB 2.0 crap and add another set of USB 3.0's since the motherboard has 2 USB 3.0 ports.

Had to grind away the old USB plug's and wire harness's. Yes the mic and headphone ports on it don't work anymore but I never use them anyway. Some dermal work and CA and they work and look like they are supposed to be there.

I did cut into the circuit board but since I'm not actually using anything that needs the circuits its more of just a mounting plate now.

You'll also see that I opened the front up a little to make room for the connections on the aquero. I was hoping I wouldn't need too as it fits without it but not with cables plugged in. :(

been a bit slow as I'm still waiting on the correct bending insert for the hard line tubing. They keep sending me the wrong size and it's too small. Plus my res mounts for the radiator are still on back order :(

So it's been a slow process but, got most of the wiring done. Water block on the graphics card and debating if I want to go SLI. Love the look of SLI but, not sure I really need the dual 1080's for a single 3440x1440 screen.

Man, stunning work on the front and top. I'm seriously impressed.

I would have gotten rid of the logo on the inside though and done more of the "Caselabs grill".

Still, really looking forward to seeing this finished !

Avoid SLi BTW.

Thanks Alien.

I was thinking about that actually. ie ditching the inside logo for more of the grill material but, decided to keep it and put cablemod RGB lighting behind it. I made some custom wiring for the 3 RGB strips in the case so I could cut down on the wiring in the case.

Most of the wiring is done. I still need to run 2 usb 2.0 cable but other then that the system is wired except for the aquero 6

Now I am just planing my tubing layout but, with out the mounts for the res I can't get a real good idea on the return. I was going to go back into the top of the res but, I may return it into the pump since I still need to add my flow sensor and the connector on it is ugly so I want to hide it.

Here are some of the latest pictures. Might help get an idea of how it will look when its done. I am going nvida green. Tired of red after the last 4 years. lol

Between this and TTL's RRR project my H440 is starting to look a bit "stock".

I might have to get my tools out and start working. I'll get left behind before too long. :P

Great work. Loving this build log.

Thank you WYP. I was actually just watching the video on TTL's H440. I might need to borrow his idea for the side panel. I have cut out the original side panel to make the window bigger but, not sure if I want to keep it or go a similar route that he did. I've been thinking of getting a custom cut tempered glass side panel and mount it like he did his.

That part is still unknown. The longer I wait for parts the more I think to do to the case. LOL

I did cut the piece out between the top and middle rubber grommet so the 24 pin connector could line up and flow a bit better. I had another rubber insert that I cut to fill in the expanded area.

I didn't take a picture of if after I cut the insert but, you all should get the idea.

I did notice that in your pictures. I love the idea as the stock grommet locations get in the way of my 24-pin power connection. I might have to do a similar mod on my H440 now that I have seen this.

It really helps with cable management. Great work.

Holy hell man, that's some fantastic attention to detail, especially on the seems between the mesh and panels! It already looks better than stock! I bet TTL is watching this thread VERY carefully ;)

Thanks wassup,

Glad it looks that way as that's the look I am going for. I wanted it to look like it was supposed to be that way and be seamless. So its modded without really looking like it was.
