Well i cracked and decided to re-build what was commonly referred too as 'pc2'. My backup rig basically. She's used for MSNing and when the main rig is down, everything. Got the name from the fact I'm using hardware that's nearly two generations old now.

New specs are as follows:

DFI Lanparty SLI-DR Venus

AMD Opteron 146

1GB OCZ Plat Rev2

XFX 7800GT

Lian Li PC7 Plus

Few things im undecided on atm. PSU will either be a generic Hiper 350w or a seasonic M12 that may or may not have been responsible for a few component deaths. Second is the hard drive. Old 1/2 dead very loud 40GB thing or my ghettoed up 120GB.

Looking awesome man, couldn't you afford a very small hard drive? Man I loved those Socket 939 DFIs, nothing has really topped them in my mind since.

Been informed that my Opty and case are due tomorrow.

Case arrived safe and sound this morning, props to ayd for that.

Ive gotta say, this is the nicest case ive used. The quality is evident form the moneny you open the box, and installng was a breeze. No Difficulties at all which is most rare in smaller cases.

Got too installing the hardware.

It was just what i had lying about. Once ive found a hdd i prob wont have a optical drive at all.

Cooling all needs upgrading too, but the dam yellow bracket is glued on too the motherboard so i couldn't use my Evo33 and i think the only option for the NB is the HR-05 SLI due too its placement.

Very tidy Ham, looking pretty great, especially for a 2nd rig
