Project nightmare

So this is an on going project that I have been doing for awhile now... I have it in a state where it is done and usable not I am not done. I still have lots a work to do on my build. The reason that this build is called Project Nightmare was the fact that it was my first fully built computer and I have had so many problems with it. But you live and learn and now I know a lot more than I used to and has been a great learning experience and can't wait to do it again
On my desk I have a LG Flattron W2043T monitor, Corsair K90 keyboard,Corsair M60 mouse and Altec Lansing VS2621 2.1 Channel Speaker System
My rig specs should be below in my signature:) Let me know what you guys think and if there are any problems with the pics

The upgrades to this will be a Cooler Master Storm Stryker case,MSI GD80v2 990FX,AMD 8850or 8870 video card,EVGA SuperNOVA NEX650G GOLD 650Wpsu, 120GB SAMSUNG 840 Series SSD, 16GB of CORSAIR Vengeance ram, and a Corsair H100i

I dig the lights. The blue looks great and is easy on the eyes, particularly at night.

Good looking rig on the inside (cabling behind the motherboard tray gives me the heebie-jeebies, but part of the plan is a case change I see, so it's moot). Why you changing out the case though, just for a nicer look or you need different spatial allotments?

Thanks everyone for your comments! Any feedback is great good or bad, doesn't matter ;)

If u wanna improve color scheme and stick to the orb cooler check this out http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118074

edit: Nevermind, reviews say it's a 'nightmare' to instal. I assume you're trying to avoid ''nightmare the sequel" lol :p

lol, I actually was originally going to get that one until I saw that it was a nightmare, even the zalman I have now is a pain. Every time I stick my hand in there to remove it eats my thumb up. But on the plus side it work great at cooling my pc, My idle temps are 6-8c and like 20-25c under full load!

Yea I know its bad, wanting to get a fully modular psu while I am waiting for the new amd cards to come out and the case is because everything is just such a tight squeeze and I like my build to look as clean as possible, I also want to do crossfire and would just allow more room in a full size case like the CM storm srtyker:)

nice job with your cables i could sure use a lesson in cable managment lol

lol thanks, it not hard really if you give yourself some time

So some small changes on the updates, I will be running a custom water loop instead, and a corsair GS800w psu. I am unsure of the video card as of this time for my poor 6670 has been overclocked a little too much and is feeling the pain, might get a 7870 or a 7870 Tahiti LE

Another quick update... My 6670 is now gone... I got a nvidia gtx280 to hold me over for now until the the amd 8xxx's are out. I also am getting a CM Storm Stryker for my 17th birthday which is on Super bowl sunday. I will post pics as I get my new items in :)

gtx 280? Thats a damn fine holdover.. What did it run you $?

sounds like a steal for 50$. Should be quite a bit faster than your 6670 was right? 512bit and just under 300 cuda cores?

From what I saw when comparing them, the gtx280 dominated the 6670, but is worse than the 7850. My only fear is dx10 and not 11 but it was only $50 so its no too big of a deal. I would like to have it in my rig though.... getting tired of my phenom II x3 laptop.... miss all the overclocking :(

Just a quick note: with the Bulldozer AMD CPUs, the temps that are is displayed in coretemp/windows in general are a delta temp. I.e. at idle you are running at room temp (say 23c) plus 6-8c = ~30c. It's something that tricked me, mine was reading under 2c at idle which was just stupid. Thought I had a broken sensor in my cpu but it turns out that is just how the AMD Bulldozers work! (If you look in your BIOS you should have the correct temp readout...)

Like that the colour scheme has been extended onto your mouse and keyboard, and I think after your changes, it will be a good rig!

Yea I know, the day that I recorded the temps, my room was 4c. That is what was reading from the bios. Thanks for the comment! Can't wait to make all of my changes!
