So i have been working on gathering the funds for a new rig for the last couple of months, and finally it is in a state where i feel it is worth showing. :-) It is far from done, but so far i am happy with the results. Still a few parts need upgrading, and once all that is done, i wanna get rolling on some case modding. :-)

Specs:
Gigabyte Sniper 5 motherboard.
Intel i7 4770k cpu.
Evga Geforce GTX 780 Superclocked w. ACX cooling gpu.
Asus Xonar Xense audio card.
Corsair AS860i psu, with the green sleeved cable kit.
Corsair H100i in push pull using SP120 Q.E. fans, with custom painted green rings.
Corsair Force series 120gb SSD (needs upgrading)
6tb of storage (2x2 tb wd green, and 2x1tb that will be replaced with another 2tb wd green, and a 2tb wd black)
Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600mhz memory 8gb (needs upgrading)
Cooler Master Cosmos 2 case.
Finally, a sh*tload of green LED fans for a nice external green glow. The inside is not illuminated other than what is on the components them selves.

So, let me know what you think, input on improvements and so on. :-) Just remember, it is still work in progress, and it is far from done. I will not be making a custom water loop, i decided on getting higher end components rather than getting something lower end and then spending the savings on a loop. Besides, this is more than good enough for me. :-)

Oh I love that colour of green, only thing that bugs me is the front fans are a different green :(

Very nice rig mate.

i will be making some internal panels to hide the front drive bays and the power supply area, so it will not be visible in the final version. :-) The camera had a tough time picking up the led's in the fans, when you look at it in real life, the color is practically the same. :-)

And thanks! :-)

My old blue led fans came out purple In pictures :(

Will look awesomeerer when finished

Very nice mate love what you have done, why have you not got the same fans on both sides of the h100i though?

lovely work mate. Can I ask, what sort of paint and method did you use for the custom rings on the SP120's?

awesome colour matching
that looks so sweet and clean
and cool name btw

it would be awesome if you would be able to switch out the red mobo led's
with some nice green one's. i know you can't see the psu sticker with
the sidepanel on but it would be cool if the ax would be green aswell
(an idea if you have alot of time left and you don't know what to do)

No i have not, the top fans are the cooler master LED fans, though they are still controlled by the pump. I tried using the same fans on both sides, it had little to no impact on the temps, so i opted for the led fans to give me that green external glow. :-)

I just scuffed up the plastic, applied a plastic primer, and then painted the rings with an automotive spraypaint, simple and easy. :-)

I will be making a panel to hide the power supply. I am thinking of making a small plexi window in that panel, and iluminating the power supply so it is still visible, but that will require me to replace the sticker, as you suggest. :-) Not sure what i will do yet.

I looooooooove green colour schemes, you really pulled it off!

Only thing I'd say is indeed fix the colour on the front and side (HDD cages) intake and the red debug LED on the motherboard!

Also; Please use the

no i wouldnt make much if any difference to temps, but it would probably help with noise from possible turbulence

I agree, both the post led's and the onboard power botton looks horrible, however, i am not about to start soldering on my brand new, very expensive motherboard, hehe. I have yet to explore if it's possible to turn them of in the bios though. :-)

The reason i posted several times in a row was to quote and reply to a specific user. Otherwise im guessing i'd have to do this manually?

It is no secret that this rig is far from being quiet. However, it's not really unbearably noisy either, i could easily live with it as is. I am considering replacing the green led fans with something more quiet, and then letting som led strips handle the green external lights. It might be something to explore in the future. :-)

We also have a multi-quote
multiquote_off.gif
button ;)

You can always try to mask them. For instance with some black tape?

Haha, thanks mate, still learning the way things are done here. :-)

I'm not really a tape kinda guy, not if it's visible anyway, i think some sort of small panel might be a better option. :-)

No problem mate!
Oh, and welcome to the forum of course :)

Just try out some different things and then you can decide what you think looks best ^_^
