Hello SpecialTech! :wavey:
I recently won a Bitfenix Prodigy on SpecialTech! And I decided, I have to make a project out of it! I don't know how it will turn out, but there's a huge current of ideas flowing in my head every time I think of the case! So I have to do it!!!
The hardware I'm planning to use is not yet decided! I was making a list of hardware a while back, but with the release of the new Z87 chipset and new GPUs, everything came falling down. I'm still unsure what I'll use in the end. It depends on, how the hardware will look at the time, and at what time I'll have enough money for it! I'm aiming around 1900€-2000€ and a lot of money is going to go for looks! Like, more than a third!
I have a lot of mods for the case in my head already and I'm gonna save all of them for later! Everything is going to be explained on the way... ^_^
The name for it, MizuHono came from the first name, CoolFalme. But I wasn't happy with CoolFlame because it sounds overrated and mainstream, or, is it just me... :slap:
MizuHono means WaterFlame in Japanese, and it sound so cool! There's a whole story behind it too. Well, not story, but the fact that I'm gonna be mixing blue and red in there, and black/gray will be the separating line between them! And to top it off, everything might be lit up with a white cathode or leds! Again, depends on how everything is going to fit in. That's a huge contrast, but I'll try to make them work together to make it all look like it should. And colors aren't the only factor that brought the name up. You'll see along the way! This is going to be a difficult one, but I'm loving the idea!
About the case. It's better than I expected, but the build quality could be better. There is space on the edges of the side panels, around USB ports, audio ports, on/off/reset buttons and around the front panel. That shouldn't be there! :nono: Also, the color of the plastic holders/feet and the metal case aren't exactly matching. They're close, but you can notice a slight difference there. The inside looks awesome though... Except for the side panel connectors PCB.
There's a lot of things that I'll be doing to this case in a long period of time!
First impressions of the case! Well, no, just a tease to show you it's here! :boink:
Now it's time to collect all the money, then get all the hardware and material, and get going on this lovely journey!
It might take a while to get everything, so there's a big chance this thread will fall asleep, but don't worry, I'll be back!
Also, there's a LOT of things I want to write down in this post/thread, but I can't get everything out!!! There's too much!!!
See you in a while!
