problems with models in new games

hey all!

i'm searching for help with corrupted models in newer games (probably with 'new' shader models). for computer specifiactions watch my signature.

Description:

first i'd like to post an image, so the description is much easier.

the models (here in Stranglehold) are corrupted. it flickers as they move. if i change the multi-GPU performence mode from "Single-GPU" to "Force Split-frame Rendering" the models in the upper part of the screen are corrupted and the models in the lower part are correct, as shown in the next image.

if i change the multi-GPU performence mode to "Force alternate frame rendering" the models are flickering much more than in "Single-GPU".

i got the same problems in other games, for example "Medal of Honor: Airborne". Some strange enlighted areas around the models and they flicker (waepons, objects & persons). with switching the multi-GPU mode, the same things as for Stranglehold.

My conclusion (not very sure, more a guess):

Only one of the two graphiccards makes the calcutating mistakes. probably the main card (first card), because if one card calculates the upper part and one the lower, the lower one is correct. at alternativ frame rendering the aggressiv flickering is because one frame is correct and the other is wrong and so on...

Questions:

Is this problem a software issu (wrong configuration, SLI on one card)?

Is this problem a hardware issu (main card damaged)?

and finally: Does anybody can give me some hints how to fix this?

thanks a lot for helping me or giving me some hints!

The first thing I would try is to test each card on it's own. So, take one out, give it a go, swap for the other, give that a go. If you find one card has trouble then it can't be drivers or software so the card must be damaged. If they both work on their own then I would suspect drivers.

the problem is, that it's actualy one card (GX2) and i don't know how to use just one part of it... i don't think that there i a possibility to use only the secound part, because it has no PCI-X connector... but thanks anyway

it gets quit hot, that for sure. i checked with Everest @Medal of Honor and max temp was 95°C. the secound card gets around 90°C... looking at specs it should be ok up to 120°C... but this seams a bit high to me.

i didn't check temp with stranglehold yet. i'll do that as soon as i'm at home.

the problems with the models i got allready, when the game starts and temp is still "low"... so do you think there is something broken already?

thanks for the fast answers.

edit:

in stranglehold the temp moves up to 85°C.... this should be ok.
