problems problems

Well given it the final go for the night, looks like my PPd is taking a severe nosedive.

Done driver sweeps and reinstalls

Reloaded core 15 after deletion

reinstalled gpu systray numerous times after deletion

checked card stability with kombustor and furmark - no issues there.

For some reason after this new core or core variation it just wont work, it gets the work packet and then as it loads up the GPU i.e. starts taxing it - GPUz shows the temps rising and working after a few seconds the whole rig falls apart.

done all the fixes suggested on the F@H forums and those listed on here.

It must be something to do with the Cudart files but im loosing patience with it for tonight again and not being productive so ill leave it for a day or two then come back refreshed.

Best to do that to be safe and preserve the rig!

In the mean time I'll continue to search out solutions as here in Ontario I'm 5hrs behind you

IIRC you have a GTX280? That being true you don't want to run GPU3. Download the GPU2 client and give that a go. Think I mentioned this in another thread. GPU3 doesn't play well with GTX2xx cards and the PPD is poor. My GTX260 and GTX275 are on GPU2 which is Core 11.

Be sure and totally remove GPU3 folders and then install GPU2, I hope that works for you....

Hey steve have you noticed your GPU2 clients declining in ppd lately? My GTS250 used to be a solid 5800-6400 ppd but lately I've been getting WUs with 4900-5200 ppd.

There is a new series of GPU2 WU's 10112's that are 494 points and generally lag previous WU by nearly 1K PPD on my GTX 2xx cards. And as always when projects mature the PPD diminishes even though the hardware does the same amount of work it did a 9 months ago
