Hello guys.

One month ago I bought this awesome card and today I wanted to try the onboard switch for OC.
Well it didn't work as I expected.

Booted my pc and there wasn't even the boot screen. Just a black screen.

PC specs.
i5 3570k
8GB ram
Win 7 x64
PSU 750W

GPU BIOS: 015.043.000.001.000000
Driver Version: Cata 14.12 AMD Cata OMEGA SDF

Thanks in advance.

Did the whole pc not start, or did you just not get a video signal (did the fans spin)?

Did you press this button?

or is there a different one?
This doesn't oc you're card, it set the card to uefi mode to boot faster
What happens when you press it again?

Maybe I didn't understand the purpose of the switch well.

It's a different one. Just a small switch.

The fans started to spin but it didn't boot at all so I don't think I just didn't get any video signal.

Update your motherboard BIOS, I had the same problem when I first got my TRI-X and updating the motherboard BIOS fixed it.
On reference 290s the switch is to switch between the quiet mode BIOS and uber mode BIOS, which changes how the fans work. If you have it in quiet mode the fan will spin slower but the card will throttle more to keep the temp within 95 c*. In uber mode the fans spin faster which allow for higher clocks but will still throttle if temps go above 95*c. You just get a little more headroom because of the extra cooling from the fans spinning faster, but at the expense of the noise levels of a jet engine :p

With the Tri-X there is no quiet and uber mode, you just have two BIOS. The Tri-X cards are great clockers anyway. And they run cool and quiet, even when overclocked.
