Lian Li Q10
Quote from *Tom´s Harware*:
Hands down the PC-Q10 is a premium product. The case itself is constructed almost entirely of brushed aluminum and acrylic, except for a few occasional pieces. Additionally, both the side window and aluminum panels are made out of thick, quality material and everything on the outside of the chassis lines up perfectly.
Since acrylic is very soft and scratches easily, the window panel ships with a lining on both sides to keep it clean and protected during shipping (and during the build). The panel itself is secured to the case using four plastic thumbscrews. In addition to the thumbscrews, the part of the frame that the window attaches to, as well as the case's top/front and left panel all attach to the case via a pushpin style mount, which are easily removed to access the interior of the case. Finally, the PC-Q10 supports the use of a slim, slot-loading optical drive and several water- and air-cooling configurations.
So, I got this case as I wanted one of the smallest Itx cases that could house regular ATX PSU´s and a full size GPU but at the same time still look elegant and very small at only 19 liters. What was a MUST for me was the need of at least 1 x 120mm fan space. The Lian Li Q10 was a perfect match for that. Also then I have not seen too many builds with this case.
Its dimentions are:
(W) 207mm
(H) 277mm
(D) 335mm
In the end then opted for build purposes of components I had laying around at that time - this will not be final though.
Mobo: Asus H87 i-plus
CPU: i5 4460
GPU: Asus GTX 780 - Blower Fan
PSU: Sharkoon 80+ Gold 500W Modular
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250 gb
CPU Cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock TF
I specifically chose the Be Quiet Dark Rock TF as a cpu cooler as I thought it looked the part - and its quite big at 170mm tall. In theory it should not fit in the Lian Li Q10 but it did without any trouble at all.
I have 2 aditional fans: 1 as Intake, the rear Thermaltake Slim 120 and one as exaust at the top - XSPC Xinruilian 120mm.
The cable managment was quite hard as there is next to NO space what so ever to hide the cables as the back panel is nearly flat to the back.
In the end then I am very happy with how it turned out.
My next project is to build a custom water loop in this case - untill next time!
