I'm going to say £249 or at least I hope it's £249.

I'm going to not buy one so they can charge whatever they like:p
In less than a years time it'll be outdated and for something that has no games out for it except tech demo's I really don't see a point in it:p

Lmao not a chance. They've already said it will be too expensive for many, hinting at a stupid price.

Oddly I'm completely not interested, he says sarcastically.

Just another way to rinse cash from GPU sales for something I'd look completely stupid wearing and likely quite ill after long sessions.

That's my biggest fear. I'll have to find someone with one to try once they come out.

I reckon it will be stupid money to start with. Probably a basic system of just the headset and then a controller enabled version later - if I recall correctly they ran into a snag with that recently. I'd say around console prices. $500-600 AUD,

If it's around $350-400 I'd be tempted to get one and risk a small loss on the second hand market if it makes me nauseous.

I will say between $800-1000AUD

This is the reason why i will not use VR cause i know i will get nauseous, That is why i have said in other posts i'm waiting for the Holodeck.

I think the Microsoft Holo lens is going to be more useful. I hate to break it to many people, but this is the next Crysis. It is going to drive GPU performance for a couple of years unless it really explodes and the price drops a bunch and everyone can afford one. Then it will drive GPU's for years to come. We just need to get used too it lol.

I'd see this replacing my triple screen setup. $1k is doable for that purpose and just keep a 34" 3440 panel for the desktop. Flight and driving will be awesome but wait and see the $$ first.

As impressive as VR is, I can't see it ever becoming mainstream at an affordable level even back in 1991 Virtuality released the 1000CS at that was $60,000!?! and that ran on an Amiga..

Even though tech has advanced dramatically since then, it's still going to cost you a small fortune to own.

Hopefully a very small one. The SDK's were around $350 USD weren't they? Double the resolution now so maybe double the cost?

We'll find out soon I guess!

If it's more than £250 then it's a no buy from me, Yes I loved it in Alien Isolation as it was extremely immersive but not worth £250+ to me.
