PPC - Useful For A PC Repairman?

Sorry, I guess that was a tad on the vague side! :D

I have a pocket PC and I am a self-employed PC repairman (amongst other things). I was wondering if there were any useful applications for this device in my trade?

I dont think it would be that usefull. A netbook laptop would be better, they are light enough to carry with a main laptop.

Only thing i can think of that i would want on a PPC is a wifi scanner.

There are lots of useful apps but personally if you are repairing PC's as a living there are a few CD's that you should always carry, these are down to preference but personally I would carry at least the following but this again is just my opinion and I am sure there are other apps that others will suggest:

PC Check - Bootable diagnostics disk

Hirens Boot Cd - Bootable diagnostics disk

CCleaner

Avast Portable

Recover My Files Portable

Everest Portable

Some of these (bootable) require to be burnt to CD where as the others could be carried on a USB pen. If I generally go to to look at any machine I would have the above with me as they can save you a lot of time and effort.

Good Luck :)

I'm a self employed PC Tech and I have been for maybe 5 years and I used to have a PDA which I ended up only using for the calender function (before phones had them).

Now I use a combination of USB keys (with various apps already mentioned plus a few more) and a set of bootable cd's, with my phone as calander. I also carry a laptop round with me and I have adaptors for hard drives incase I need to do data recovery anywhere.
