I'm onto my 4th.At the mow i'm runing PCP&C 510 Deluxe SLI which copes with my rig fine but i have to pump some serious volts through her to get a good overclock more than me good pal mav and still the overclock is not as high or stable. That is why i have now invested in the beast PCP&C 850 ETX SSI .Has anyone used one and what do they think of them?I'm hoping this should make things a bit more stable.

I got a mate in Denmark Lars who got one of these from Phil and managed to overclock his 3.6 LGA775 Prescott on an Asus board to 5.3Ghz using mach2 GT.

On his recommnedations I ordered one from phil too, of course they are expensive in comparison to others, but like an FX CPU or Extreme Edition CPU, if you want the best there is a price to pay.

Lars says that it runs cooler and quieter (simply by the tone of the noise) than the 510Sli - and allowed him to get an extra 150Mhz from his CPU at lowervolts than was previously required.

I would welcom any comments from anyone else using this 850 behemoth.

Cheers

Well observed my friend.

Yep me and Scorchio grew up together and living 5 miles apart now (used to be 50 meters about 10 years ago). Always have the opportunity to talk about the kit we'd like to have an as such there is a similarity between to two packages. (started with Spectrums, C64's, AtariST's, Amiga's, then PC's)

Hence the mini-benching war you can see going on between us too.

We always help each other out and having the same interest in overclokcing we normally debate between ourselves what the next big thing will be, and then plan how we justify the costs our respective other halves.

Of course there are minor differences of opinion (I have GT's scorchio has Ultras for example) - but on the whole we both agree on what our budgets will let us buy next - plus ordering two from the same place and living not too far away allows us to split the carriage :D

On the subject of PC65's all I will say that they are about 11/2 longer than a standard PSU - so as long as the CDROM dont get in the way then I am sure it will fit.

Always best to check before buying though.

Cheers
