'Power button lockout'

Error whenever I touch any button on my monitor.

Still works, just can't turn it off.

I'm guessing this means I'll have to keep plugging it in and out to get it to work from now on, but if anyone knows of a solution then it'd be welcome. Done it completely out the blue since yesterday.

At least it's locked on rather than off

Maybe change the power cable and see if that helps (if you haven't already). Other than that I've got nothing

its locked in the settings? my college admins like to do that, i have no clue how to disable it though lol

It started at random, nothing caused it.

Haven't changed power cable, that won't effect it.

HP 2009v is the model.

Don't have a camera anymore.

The error is just a white menu box with 'Power Button Lockout' in black text whenever I press any button on the monitor.
