Observed the swine, with "non delivered parcel" card in his hand and a fist full of miscellaneous letters.

Popped through the letters, popped through the card.

Then u heard an "OI!", "Where`s my stuff !!". To which he started walking away quicker.

Caught up with the sucker, and lo-and-behold, 3 parcels in his van ;)

I`m all for getting home as soon as possible for bank holiday weekends - but this time u lose Mr Postman !!

I had a postman who did that to me 3 times. On the second and third time I went down to the local post office and put a complaint in.

It didn't happen again.

Such cheek, he didn't even remove the parcel from his van, just walked up the path with a pre-written form.

I must have a good posty then, he delivers at 10am but if no-one is in he comes back at 12pm ;)

Our service used to be something like that.

The guyz would kinda go backwards on their route, on the way back to the depot I guess, and double check ones they had no answer at.

was this RM? or a courier?

ive never really had any probs with either, but I have faith in my posties :)

they might do actualy, arent they privatised/thatcherised now? or were they just not allowed a monopoly of the market?

Not allowed a monopoly, which is why other companies are shipping business post. They have not opened up the public market for letters yet (I think) which is why we still get ripped off.

That happens here in Canada too. I've never had it happen to me personally, but I've heard others complain about the postman coming to the door with a delivery notice directly instead of bringing the package.
