Possible DOS Attack

Hi All,

I'd like you all to keep an eye on the "Users Online" at the bottom of the page if possible, and let me know if we get an excessive number of guests viewing the forum.

Just a moment ago we hit almost 100 guests all from the same IP address, which is very strange and will be investigated.

Meh the wanker that launched the attack is a :noobsign: ..... It'd take a couple hundred times that amount of connections to be able to lag us or crash the server.

I'm not worrying one bit I'll start worrying when the site reports there's like 10,000 guests online...

You know what happens to peoples servers when they get caught using them illegally? They get destroyed by the host!

They can boast all they want, it won't be a laughing matter when they no longer have a forum to boast about it on... faggots.

I can assure you that this and any other attacks will be dealt with. SX and our hosts keeps logs of every connection that goes on, so we have the information to nail (to a wall by their nuts) those responsible for any such attacks.

oh nice and if that info was to slip out to their isp i suppose they would be blacklisted and neva see the net again (apart from 56K Payasugo dialup); or well i hope as that info is being emailled to u from the isp that some hacker doesnt intercept it and use the info to hack the nuts of that guy

Not yet, but there are things in the pipeline...its just that companies take sooo long to get their acts together.
