portable pc/laptop build?

so basically i wanted to try fit a desktop into a laptop type idea, of course it wont be pretty, or light, but i just need a portable computer, and my laptop just does not do it, too hot, too small, bad mouse, bad keyboard

so what do you guys think on this? i was thinking of something along the lines of http://prntscr.com/1b03pp but of course the keyboard will be integrated, and mechanical of course, with a area about the size of a mouse mat, maybe bigger, that flips out when i open it up so its on the right of the keyboard,

but yeah, probably 24", so what do you think? and any ideas/advice?

and yeah, cooling i know is a problem, so my plan for that, stick fans and whatevercooling wherever i can, cut as many holes in the thing as i can,

maybe go for a case designed for lan gaming, like the c70. and you can work on integrating a KB& Mouse, with like clip on bits for any add ons. you could even put a monitor into the side of it, and ventilation wont then be an issue so much.

Im good at concepts but cards will need to be bolted in place or something to protect them.

Just ask if you wanna bounce ideas off me

Wonder if it would be possible to put a VESA mount on the side panel of a prodigy? :o

that was kinda what i ment with just attaching to the case and if you ofset the bolts, maybe reinforce the case a bit and use a monitor mount rather than a hanging tv vesa mount it will be secure, i would wanna make a plate to cover the monitor though.

Well, atfirst i didnt really want a build that would require a desk, since i dont want to be carrying tables about with me, but from your suggestions it seems that is the way to go, so i just get a LAN case, and put some mounts on it for the monitor?

yeah thats what i was thinking of.
id go for a rugged case tbh, that way the case can support the size of any monitor you decide on, then maybe get a metal plate fabricated to protect it.

Yeah, that or you're going to have to get a really low profile m-ITX case but it the end it would be the same. It's kind of your only option if a laptop really doesn't have all the power that you need

Well, i can easily get a laptop that can play battlefield 3 on ultra no problem, the problem is it over heating and getting slower as i use it, also having no place for a mouse, playing any game with a mouse pad is 10 times harder and usually less fun,

you may also want to buy a sheet of aluminium to put behind your monitor to act as a heat sink to draw heat away, if you are going to leave it attactched for gaming

Well since now its going to be a portable table option, i was thinking just put some hooks and a handle on the case to carry it around, and then just stick the monitor and keyboard onthe desk, more room that way, unless i create a metal flip type thing that covers the monitor when i carry it, then flips down for me to put the keyboard and mouse on,
