Port Forwarding - CS:S, Ventrilo, Teamspeak

Ok, do I need to forward ports for the above applications, if so what ports would I need to forward?

I have an Orange Livebox.

Thats the site i looked at first of all when i wanted to forward ports on my first router.. As ya say it was very handy and quite easy to follow.

On my last router I forwarded all the ports, prob not a good idea. Thats why i only wanted to forward the ports i need this time with this orange livebox.

same issues

I can't join my friends server and she cant join mine, we always get that server not responding thing. What ports do I forward? I have netgear router.

Saying you have a Netgear router doesn't really help a lot - you need to be a little more specific by stating what model. Once you know your model then head here and click on the router that you own, and the link will take you to a page showing you a whole swathe of games and how to forward the ports on your router.
