Polaroid Announces 4k TV for under $1000!

It's good to see the price is starting to get more down to earth on these TV's but the problem with them is the 30Hz that, they run at and the lack of Display Port on them.

As the article mentions though, there is very little media out there currently that will actually require one of these screens to be used to view it.

I am waiting for the new Dell 28" monitor to get reviewed and see what it's like and then I may buy one at some point, this year for my pc but as for a normal tv for watching films etc on it, I think I will leave it alone.

Seriously dude just posting a link to another site like this without any effort put it is going to get your arse in hot water

Erm, I don't recall seeing any community guidelines or stickies telling people there is a specific way to post to the news subforum?

Simply trying to bring something interesting forward for discussion.

Posting links off site is lazy mate, if you cba to write anything but a link Id suggest you dont bother. All you are doing is sending people away from the forums and thats never going to be something Ill thank you for is it.

I highly doubt that this monitor will be of a high quality

We should know a lot more about 4K monitors and pricing in a few weeks.

I agree proper guidelines would be useful.

But i do agree with Tom, a write up of the content on the forums does aid users when it comes to digesting it, especially when they only want a quick look.

It'd be lazy if it was my job to take other people's articles and re-write them for your forum, but conveniently it isn't.

I'll keep that in mind if I plan on posting something to the News forum in future. I like thought-provoking discussion, so I'm more than happy to do little write-ups. In the meantime, may I suggest a little sticky at the top of the subforum, advising people against just posting links?
