*Please urgent server help*

Well my friend is running a server and they can only access the server from their house but nobody outside the house can access it(like me). They are using a 2wiremodem and a linksys router. What are some ways to fix this problem? Please give me some good answers they need to get this server running ASAP.

Port forwarding, firewall or their ISP doesn't allow servers on their residential network...like mine
