I'm a bit new to photography (3 months I've had this SLR) although I've always loved it and just got into it properly.

Just been on holiday to china and come back with some nice snaps, just wanted some professional opinions. my photobucket album is here

but heres a few shots to get started:

I have decided not to edit any of my photos- the most I'll do is a bit of cropping, but please all critisicsim is welcome - dont hold back!

thanks

Nick :)

Wow those images are beautiful! What SLR are you using and what lens? :P I've had my DSLR for about 3-4years and can't get the hang of good photography. :( And I'm bored with the lens that came with it.

wow thanks guys :D

I'm just using a nikon D40 with the kit lens - so nothing special :P

Oh that doesn't make me feel that good. :p I have the bigger version, the D50 which is not replaced by yours. Did you teach yourself? Read anything you could recommend or what have you? :D:yumyum:

I know literally nothing about photography :S I just use auto and shoot. apparently I have an artisitic eye :/

saying that I read a brilliant little book free with the guardian called "how to photograph absoloutely everything" and it was very informative on how to shoot different subjects.
